As soon as Bobbie arrived, she became a kitten again. We now have balls of paper hanging from every chair, string piles, toys and plenty of sleepless nights, when she thinks playtime should start at 3am! She is a beautiful girl and very affectionate. She loves to have her tummy rubbed. We thought early on that Bobbie must have some Siamese in her background, and our vet agrees. With this comes the talking (oh boy, she loves to talk!). She has developed a routine in the mornings which involves pressing her nose against mine and talking very loudly until I get up. We have also discovered that she has the rather 'mad' streak which comes with being part-Siamese! She runs around in circles, up and down the garden at great speed and is generally loopy – she is very comical. Bobbie is at her happiest when she is outside. We have just discovered that she is an amazing tree climber, much to my alarm at times. She can climb quite high, and like a nervous mum I fret at the bottom of the tree! Her other pastimes include chasing flies and eating wasps. She is so active. She has made friends with next door’s ginger kitten, who is only few months younger than her and they go everywhere together. He comes to our house every day to get her and often comes into to say hello to us. They sit together in the garden! Her foster carers were amazing in looking after Bobbie and in the support that they showed us. We have never adopted a cat before, and they gave us all the help and support we needed during the adoption process and afterwards - thanks Katherine and Jamie! |
