On top of our fundraising events, we also rely heavily on donations from our supporters and members of the public.
These donations come in various forms. Firstly, we request 'donations' when animals are adopted, an essential part
of raising funds. Also we try to ask for donations when we accept animals in to our care or when we assist or re-home.
This is not quite so reliable, as obviously some animals are abandoned or people are not in a position to help.
Fortunately, we have had a lot of appreciative members of the public who have been very generous over the past two years.
There are have been many supporters and anonymous people who have donated money, food, blankets, baskets, hutches,
sales goods etc. so on behalf of all the animals, ARC would like to say a big THANK-YOU.
Other monitory donations are made by the general public and our supporters in several ways. Firstly through our
collecting tins, which are displayed in vets and other pet establishments throughout the Borough and secondly through
our various donation schemes.
You can chose to donate in several ways:
- A regular donation by standing order - Contact us for a form or download
here.
- A cash/cheque donation - Please make cheques/postal orders payable to: 'Animal Rescue & Care' and send to PO Box 46, Twickenham, TW1 1WG
- Hold a car boot or table top sale on behalf of ARC - A good opportunity to clear out those
cupboards & help animals too! (or run an ARC stall for us)
- Make a Legacy - Remember ARC in your will & help local animals for years to come.
- Gift Aid your donation - If you are a taxpayer you can make every pound you donate to ARC worth an extra
28 pence.
- Food Donation - Collect some cat/kitten or rabbit food (litter or hay) and we will come to collect it
from you.
- The Great Weather Lottery - Just pick a line of numbers for £1 per week.
ARC receives more than 1/3 of money raised and you gain the chance to win £10,000, with 5 draws per week!
Please contact us for a leaflet.
- Recycling - Collect all your used printer ink cartridges and ARC will turn them into money for the animals.
You will be helping the environment too!
YOUR DONATION IS ESSENTIAL TO THE CONTINUATION OF OUR WORK.
For example, providing one cat with basic care for one month, will cost us approximately of £30 for food,
litter, worm & flea treatment. To neuter an adult cat or rabbit will cost us a further £40. Many animals will
require expensive veterinary care in addition to this, bringing our monthly vet bills to a minimum of £1000.
